INGENIA IN FINALS FOR “RED HERRING 100 GLOBAL” AWARD
Ingenia Technology, the international company developing the next generation of security technology, is pleased to announce that it has been nominated as a finalist for the Red Herring 100 Global, an award which recognises the best start up technology companies in the world.
Ingenia has previously also been nominated in the European Hot 100.
Ingenia was selected as one of the 200 finalists from 1800 candidates. The Company has gained recognition for its proprietary security and anti-counterfeiting technology, Laser Surface Authentication (LSA™). This groundbreaking technology recognises and verifies the inherent “fingerprint” on all papers, plastics and metals. It can therefore be used to detect fraudulent or counterfeit reproductions of items such as passports, pharmaceutical products and consumer products including tobacco, alcohol and mobile phones. Unlike traditional “hologram” forms of security verification, LSA™ is highly accurate – often more so than DNA.
Mounir Barakat, Chief Executive of Ingenia, commented:
“We are delighted to have reached the final stages of the selection process for this prestigious award. Our inclusion in the finals for the 100 Global award is a testament to the importance of our technology in the global security market. Companies spotted early on by Red Herring include eBay and Google, so we are honoured to be receiving this recognition.”
